Priority Manager
Server & PC-Tuning
for Windows XP-SP2, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows 7
EXAMPLES:
We have 2 applications called CPUSTRESS0.exe and CPUSTRESS1.exe. Both apllications requests 100% CPU time! In this case CPUSTRESS0.exe is set to CPU-0 and CPUSTRESS1.exe is set to CPU-1. So both apllications gets 100% CPU-Time. CPUSTRESS0.exe, 100% of CPU-0 and CPUSTRESS1.exe, 100% of CPU-1.
Now we change the CPU-Affinity for both apllications to CPU-0. Now both applications shares the CPU-0 and gets only 50% of the CPU-Time of 1 CPU. See also the tick-counts.The total CPU is now 24%!
And now we change the priority of CPUSTRESS1.exe down to slower. CPUSTRESS0.exe takes the most CPU time(97%). 3% for CPUSTRESS1.exe. See the tick count of both applications.
With Priority Manager you able to decide the runtimes of your applications.
